Our Appraisal Process
Complete the online request form at left and upload a minimum of one photograph of your fine art, antique or collectible. We suggest including the following information:
- Photos: Clear color images of the front & back, with close-up details of any signature or maker's mark.
- History: Any information you may have regarding when & how the item was acquired, along with dimensions and any additional documentation.
To request an appraisal by mail, send this information to the address below; include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish your photograph(s) to be returned.
We regret that we cannot provide auction estimates or appraisals for items that are of a type or value not typically sold by Cottone Auctions. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for evaluation and appraisal of your artwork, antique or collectible. We will mail or email a detailed description and assessment of each item, as researched by our staff; a photographic record can also be provided.
Our documented appraisal is now yours to use as you need. If you wish to sell your item(s), we hope you will consider consignment through Cottone Auctions.
We actively perform fine art & antique appraisals in the Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo areas; we also appraise antiques and collectibles nationwide. If you have an antique or collectible that you’re considering selling, we hope you will consider Cottone Auctions as your fine art and antique consignment partner.
