Rare Lever Wound Berliner Gramophone

Rare Lever Wound Berliner Gramophone

Hammer Price w/ BP

Lot #: 69
Rare Lever Wound Berliner Gramophone
When the first spring motor was applied to the Gramophone it was wound up in the manner already common among music boxes. Prior to that, the Gramophone had been a toy-like hand-driven device. The spring motor made it a success, but few of the very early lever-wound instruments have survived.
