Early 19th century, highly figured mahogany case with deep rich, probably original finish. Painted wood dial. Bottom door opens to clean original label with etched tablet. Center door tablet has flying eagle with banner that reads 'Premium Clocks, Bristol, CT, USA'. Under reverse painted eagle is etched 'J.C. Brown & Co.' Movement stamped 'Forestville Mfg. Co., Bristol, CT'. 8-day time and strike, brass weight-driven movement. |
