Convex tablets with American eagle and battle of Perry's victory, signed D. J. Steele. Steele was undoubtedly one of his day's most talented twentieth-century ornamental glass painter. Recreation of Curtis design. Durfee's ID no. 2 stamped on case. E. Howard No. 5, 8-day time only, weight-driven movement. Durfee stamped weight.
