Elizabeth H. Remington (American, 1826-1917)
Elizabeth H. Remington was an American artist best known for floral still-life painting. She studied art in New York City at the American Academy of Design, the National Academy of Design, and Cooper Institute, and also trained privately with National Academy artists including William H. Beard and A. H. Wygant. Remington later opened her own studio on Fourth Avenue in New York, where she painted and instructed students, specializing in decorative and floral subjects.
