Details:
Emmanuel Villanis was a French sculptor celebrated for small-scale bronze statuettes that blend Neoclassical traditions with the flowing elegance of Art Nouveau. Born in Lille to Italian parents, he trained at the Accademia Albertina in Turin under Odoardo Tabacchi before settling in Paris in 1885, where he worked prolifically and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais. Villanis was especially admired for his sensuous female figures infused with mythological, floral, and occasionally Orientalist elements, earning him international acclaim during his lifetime.
