Details:
Joseph Floch was an Austrian-born artist whose early career in Vienna was profoundly influenced by his encounters with the work of Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh, and Hans von Marees. A restless traveler, Floch journeyed throughout Europe and to Palestine before moving to Paris in the 1920s, immersing himself in the center of the avant-garde. In 1941, he emigrated with his family to New York, where he continued his career. His work is now represented in museums and prominent collections worldwide.
