Details:

Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989)
Salvador Dali was one of the most influential and recognizable figures of the Surrealist movement, celebrated for his dreamlike imagery, meticulous technique, and provocative imagination. Born in Figueres, Spain, Dali demonstrated exceptional artistic talent from an early age and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid before encountering the Surrealist movement in Paris. His iconic paintings, including The Persistence of Memory, transformed familiar objects and landscapes into enigmatic visions shaped by dreams, psychology, and the unconscious. Throughout his prolific career, Dalí expanded beyond painting into sculpture, photography, film, and literature, collaborating with figures such as Alfred Hitchcock and Walt Disney. His works are held in major international collections, including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, Tate Modern, and the Reina Sofía National Museum in Madrid, affirming his enduring legacy in 20th-century art.
